     Working on a book?  Have it about ready but not sure of punctuation, grammar rules (i.e. hyphenating compound modifiers, correct homonym usage), or if that comma should be a semicolon?  An author can easily find themselves engrossed in the creative process of bringing imagination to life, and overlook the seemingly little things.  That’s where I come in. 

     Have Faith Proofreading offers high-quality copyediting and proofreading services for new and veteran authors.  All genres are accepted and encouraged. 

     I offer authors the choice of either proofreading or  copyediting so they have control of how their project is to be approached. Not all authors want—or feel they need—their manuscript critically scrutinized, and it isn’t my job to convince them they do.  I give them the freedom to choose how their work is to be polished.

     As a proofreader, for example, I won’t listen to the voice of the manuscript, but instead will focus on typography, grammar, punctuation, and formatting consistency.  As a copyeditor, I listen to the voice of the manuscript for cries of plot, character, and timeline inconsistencies, as well as everything involved in the proofing process.  For a detailed description of services rendered, please see the Services page.

     My intense love of the written word allows me to work on each project with enthusiasm, anticipation, and respect: three ingredients I firmly believe are necessary when approaching an author’s brainchild.
